Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers about central vacuum systems
A central vacuum system consists of a power unit installed in a garage or basement, connected to PVC piping inside the walls. When you plug the hose into a wall inlet, a low-voltage signal triggers the power unit to turn on. Dust and debris are sucked through the pipes and collected in a canister, while fine particles are exhausted outside.
Central vacuums offer superior suction (3-5x stronger), improved indoor air quality (dust exhausted outside), quieter operation, no heavy unit to carry, longer lifespan (20+ years), and increased home resale value.
Yes! Existing homes can be retrofitted with pipes run through attics, basements, or crawl spaces. Inlets are mounted on interior walls. The only visible holes are where inlets are installed.
